Empowering Youth in the Greater Houston Area

Family Houston is excited to announce that our Youth on the Move program has received a grant from the NBA Foundation. This funding will allow us to expand our efforts in supporting Black and underserved youth, ages 14-24, across the Greater Houston area.

The Youth on the Move program offers essential resources to help young people develop life skills, explore career opportunities, and achieve long-term success. By combining career-focused workshops, personalized coaching, and workforce readiness support, we are helping to create brighter futures for the next generation.

  • Career Development Workshops: 24 sessions annually to prepare participants for the workforce.
  • Individualized Coaching: Monthly one-on-one coaching sessions to support personal and professional growth.
  • Job Placement Assistance: Helping 50 participants secure meaningful employment opportunities.
  • Entrepreneurial Micro-Grants: Funding for eligible participants to launch business projects.
