Family Houston Expands Access to Mental Health Services
Anew Climate Mental Health Fund
Family Houston is pleased to announce the establishment of the Anew Climate Mental Health Fund, which was made possible by a transformative gift from Anew Climate. This generous contribution will eliminate cost barriers for underserved individuals, empowering clients to meet regularly with skilled clinicians and build a path toward healing. It ensures that clients facing mental health challenges—including anxiety, PTSD, ADHD, behavioral issues, Borderline Personality Disorder, depression, domestic violence, grief, relationship issues, and stress—have consistent access to mental health resources.
“Each year, researchers release staggering statistics about the substandard state of mental health access in the Greater Houston community. We’re so grateful for our amazing partners at Anew Climate for working with us to establish the Anew Climate Mental Health Fund. This Fund will serve as a game-changer for underserved clients with limited access and no ability to pay for critical mental health care.” said Ken Sheirr, President & CEO of Family Houston.
For many clients, this funding offers their first opportunity to schedule and maintain regular appointments with licensed counselors. These sessions will provide personalized support across various therapeutic modalities, including EMDR, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, and Licensed Marriage & Family Therapy.
“Anew Climate is proud to partner with Family Houston to provide access to mental health resources for our fellow Houstonians,” said Angela Schwarz, Anew Climate CEO. “At Anew, we are dedicated to protecting our environment and supporting the well-being of our community. Thank you, Family Houston, for providing these critical programs and services.”
