Family Houston today announced it has received critical support from the Bank of America Charitable Foundation to help sustain and expand its Case Management services amidst increased community demand due to the coronavirus pandemic.

To help advance local organizations’ coronavirus response efforts and recognize their dedication to serving their communities during the coronavirus pandemic and beyond, Bank of America awarded Community Response Funding to 23 Houston nonprofits that are working to deliver essential and basic services to the most vulnerable in our community, including a $40,000 grant to Family Houston.

Support from Bank of America will allow Family Houston to continue serving individuals, families, and senior citizens who are currently unable to meet their basic needs. Family Houston’s case managers assist their clients by connecting them to resources, enrolling them in medical, dental and food benefits and helping them create a plan to foster self-sufficiency.

“Local organizations like Family Houston are doing incredible work to support our Houston residents and responding to significant challenges in the face of the coronavirus pandemic,” said Hong Ogle, Bank of America Houston market president. “Our partnership with Family Houston helps ensure that those most impacted receive the support they need to find or regain stability, particularly as they may be facing illness or unemployment.”
